Elliott designed these to be used as day-to-day dinnerware, and each plate has a slightly different design. 

Depending on lighting clay will look more dark brown with tiny caramel colored specs. This is a black shiny glaze on an unglazed matte clay body that has been fired to Cone 6 and fully vitrified. Lead-free.
